Scott acted as general contractor and cabinet maker on our project, providing top quality service and product on budget. His vision for our cabinets was spot on with our objectives and when the cabinets were actually installed, they far exceeded our expectations. The quality that makes Scott exceptional is his finish carpentry skills, which he used to create a custom kitchen exactly as we wanted it. Hi Scott,

I just wanted to send you a short note to let you know how much Heidi and I enjoy what you have created for our home. I can't believe that it's been nearly 7 years since Ted referred me to you!

The cherry cabinets in our kitchen are holding up beautifully. All of our girls love to cook, so the cabinets get tons of use. They are constantly being opened and closed, and not all that gently! They look as if they were installed yesterday. After 6+ years, not a single door or drawer has sagged or come out of alignment.

The breakfront in our dining room continues to get compliments from our friends and family, and the entertainment center/fireplace mantle in the den looks like it was always there (no one has to know that there's a wall of 1960's era brick hidden behind it). The kitchen table looks great and gets used daily.

Your work has always been on time and on budget, but most important for us, the quality is unmatched. You have great ability to work in a particular space and create something beautiful. Heidi and I feel very fortunate to have worked with you

Scott Vance of Vance Cabinet is a truly conscientious and skilled craftsman. I have known Scott for seven years and in that time period he has crafted many things for me: a large laundry room complete with cabinets, countertops and a sink (resembles a small kitchen), bookcases with cabinets, an entertainment center, a desk/hutch, crown molding and wainscoting for two staircases. Scott is conscientious, considerate, and he truly listens to his customers. I highly recommend this talented individual!!!

We have a Gingerbread Cottage on Martha's Vineyard that is over 100 years old. Our kitchen counter (around our sink area) was in terrible condition due to the fact that it was not originally put in correctly and due to the dampness, etc. that comes in a house that is near the ocean.

I can not begin to tell you about the wonderful job Scott did! One of the most important attributes about Scott is that he always did exactly what he said he would do and in the time he said it would take to do the job. From completely rebuilding the counter top, laying the new laminate, working with our plumber to take out and putting the sink back in, and then leaving the kitchen as neat as a pin. The new counter has made our old kitchen so much brighter and cleaner looking. We are so pleased that we are having Scott come back to put in some cabinets and counters in another part of the kitchen.

Scott is a pleasure to work with and my family and I recommend him highly!

We have used Scott Vance on two separate building projects. One was a relatively small project where he crafted built in book shelves and a window seat. The other project was quite large; it was finishing our basement and it required coordinating other contractors. Both experiences with Scott were very professional and pleasant. First of all, he was very timely with his written estimate of the work to be completed and took equal care for both projects. His communication skills with us were consistent, and always let us know what his work schedule would be. When coordinating other contractors, Scott worked diligently to have the schedule move along. He kept his work area clean and picked up. His completion of the basement was consistent with his initial timeline estimate. He was sensitive to our scheduling needs and desires and made sure that we were happy with all work that was completed. He worked closely with us with great patience as we altered some of the finish work.

Scott is an incredibly skilled craftsman and good businessman. He is kind, honest and his attention to detail is impecable. We are happy to and highly recommend Scott for any type of building and/or carpentry project.

Scott Vance has worked on several projects in our house, including custom kitchen cabinets, construction of a home office with custom cabinets and pocket doors, and general carpentry throughout the house. Scott also made a custom piece of stand-alone furniture to house all of the electronics for our home theater. For all these projects, we have found Scott's work to be exceptional. He pays attention to details and his craftsmanship is excellent.

During our remodeling project, we sometimes asked Scott to meet with other vendors at our home where collaboration among contractors was required. Scott willingly did so and contributed to the successful outcome of the project. We also found that Scott paid attention to the business and customer-service aspects of our relationship: He showed up as expected, answered phone calls and emails, and was respectful of our home.

He was referred to us by a VERY particular and 'high-maintenance' relative, who could not say enough about Scott's work. So we figured....this guy must be really good... AND patient! He was all that, and more. Scott listened to our needs for our unfinished space, provided both practical and aesthetic suggestions, and arrived each day as he said he would. He works meticulously, and was patient with any additional requests we had.
